Our client in South London are looking for a fabulous Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.

This started as a single vet practice in East Dulwich almost 10 years ago and they have now grown to have 3 practices with 20 Veterinary Surgeons, 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 10 Veterinary Care Assistants/Students and 22 Veterinary Reception/ Administration staff. They are a close team who are welcoming and enjoy working together and to a high standard. The practices all have lovely facilities and buildings, and all the usual good toys.  You can expect support and continued education/on-the-job training, mentoring.  The team have vets many certificate holders including 4 in Medicine, 2 in Surgery, 1 in ECC, 1 Ophthalmology and a vet who is currently studying a certificate in acupuncture.

The team provide an excellent standard of care, for every anaesthetic they use the best drugs (only sevoflurane gas) and everything has an IV placed and gets fluids. They use a range of anaesthetic monitors, they manually chart, supervise, train, and record incidents. They review their practice and processes in a supportive way to allow them to provide the safest care for all of their patients, which hopefully means the least stress for everyone.

You can expect a friendly, welcoming, and open culture. You can also expect support and continued education/ on-the-job training, mentoring and lots of on-going (and often free!) CPD. There are added perks like your birthday off. All the staff work 1 in 3 weekends and if working a Sunday, you get a day off in lieu the following week. .

The ideal candidate will be someone with confidence in their own abilities which translates into best pet care. Someone who can work in a busy, sometimes high-pressure environment, and who can manage their time and priorities effectively and get the work done each day. Ideally you will have previous experience and can hit the ground running within a fully supportive team.

This is a full or part time role typically working 40 hours per week, 37 hours over 4 days plus a weekend rota.  If you are working on a Sunday you will get a day off in lieu the following Monday.
