This emergency vet clinic is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its dedicated out-of-hours team, providing emergency and critical care services to veterinary practices across the Somerset region.
Based within the RCVS-accredited Veterinary Hospital, they deliver out-of-hours veterinary care during nights, weekends, and bank holidays on behalf of a network of local practices. Situated in the heart of Somerset, close to both the stunning coastline and the rolling Quantock Hills, the clinic offers an excellent opportunity to work in a beautiful part of the country while gaining exposure to a diverse and rewarding caseload. Patients include a wide range of small animal emergencies, alongside exotic and wildlife cases.

Alongside a strong focus on career progression, the team prides itself on its supportive culture, regular social events, and a welcoming working environment where teamwork and humour are valued.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth running of the emergency service. Responsibilities include managing incoming telephone calls, arranging appointments, and triaging patients on arrival, ensuring the clinical team can focus on inpatient care and consultations. The role also involves assisting and supporting the wider night team as required.
