Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity
My client is welcoming applications from experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeons to join its friendly, RCVS-accredited practices across Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and well-established team that places equal value on clinical excellence, collaboration and personal wellbeing.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit and sociable team known for its positive working culture and strong sense of humour. The role offers an excellent work–life balance, a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including free accommodation for an initial period to support relocation.
The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with working hours ranging from 20 to 40.5 hours per week. The rota includes a 1-in-4 Saturday morning commitment and benefits from having no out-of-hours or on-call requirements. Flexible working arrangements are welcomed, allowing the role to be shaped around individual needs where possible. The salary is offered at up to £70,000, dependent on experience and skill set.
They operate across three thriving branches across the area and work could be based at 2 or occasionally all three sites, delivering consistently high standards of care to every patient. The practice is supported by a dedicated team of 11 veterinary surgeons alongside a full nursing and reception team, with additional guidance from the Group Clinical Director. The group works closely with visiting specialists in orthopaedics, cardiology and ophthalmology and includes veterinary surgeons with advanced interests in areas such as surgery and ophthalmology.
The team culture is supportive, collaborative and inclusive, with open communication and clinical discussion actively encouraged. Professional development is strongly supported, and the practice enjoys engaging with the local community through charity events and open days. New ideas and initiatives are always welcomed.
The benefits package, offered on a pro rata basis, includes 6.6 weeks of paid holiday inclusive of bank holidays, a £1,750 annual CPD allowance, CPD and training support, and free accommodation for the first six months. Additional benefits include payment of RCVS membership and two other professional subscriptions, VDS cover, Health Shield contributions towards a wide range of health and wellbeing treatments, enhanced family leave policies, discounted veterinary fees, company sick pay, annual pay reviews, colleague engagement surveys, a cycle to work scheme and a strong focus on employee wellbeing and clear career progression opportunities.
