This client has been established for over 20 years, with 2 branches in South West Hampshire, and are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a permanent basis.
This friendly, supportive and experienced team pride themselves on providing the best care for pets and clients alike. Maintaining a good working environment for all staff is of high importance to everyone, which is proven in their low staff turnover.
The team are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon with interests in both consulting and surgery to work at their main practice on the edge of the New Forest National Park. You will be supported by an experienced team, 5 nurses and 3 receptionists and will work alongside several certificate holders across the practice.
This is a supportive team environment and you will be encouraged and supported to develop your own interests. The team encourage clinical freedom, case independence and case continuity with an interesting and varied case load. The team have lots of equipment including ultrasound and an in-house blood machine.
The role is to work full time, 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days (whichever is your preference), plus a fair weekend rota. Salary is up to £75k pa DOE, welcome bonus of £5k and a relocation allowance of up to £5k.
The ideal candidate will be confident in all aspects of general practice as there will be the occasional sole charge duties. The successful applicant will be as happy in the consult room as in the theatre. You must be a team player with a compassionate and caring nature and have excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
You will be encouraged to develop client bonds and will be given clinical freedom to work up your own cases. The caseload would support studying towards a certificate, which the Practice will fully support.
