This lovely client is set to open a new 24-hour veterinary hospital in South Wales in early 2027, bringing accessible, high-quality veterinary care to pets across the surrounding areas. As an independently owned practice they are committed to making veterinary treatment affordable through free daytime consultations, low-cost out-of-hours appointments and transparent pricing, ensuring more pets receive the care they need while providing clinical teams with a varied and rewarding caseload.
The hospital will deliver round-the-clock emergency and inpatient care, supporting both local pet owners and the wider veterinary profession. This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new hospital from the outset and help shape its future.
The Inpatient and Emergency Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for managing hospitalised patients and emergency admissions, delivering high-quality medical care and performing emergency procedures where required. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will ensure patients receive outstanding care while enjoying exposure to a diverse range of medical and emergency cases.
This role would suit an experienced veterinary surgeon with excellent clinical and communication skills, strong organisational abilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
The role is based on a three-week rolling rota, averaging 36.6–40.3 hours per week, with shifts of 10–11 hours during the day and a one-in-three weekend commitment.
They offer six weeks' annual leave, up to 52 weeks' sickness benefit, funded CPD, payment of RCVS and VDS fees, private healthcare, visa sponsorship, enhanced family leave, a 4% contributory pension,
