Bright Leaf Recruitment is a recruitment agency specialising in veterinary recruitment. We have been placing exceptional veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses in great roles around the United Kingdom, Dubai and Australia since 2010. Our team of expert recruiters have over two decades of experience in the veterinary recruitment industry.
As an independent practice, our client offer a fun, relaxed, friendly working environment where their vets are free to make their own decisions in relation to care offered.
They have have two vacancies across two of their practices. One at the main hospital, with cover in a branch and one as lead vet, wholly within one of their branches which is rapidly growing.
The practices are well equipped to offer an excellent first opinion service. They have digital x-rays, brand new ultrasound, endoscopes, separate cat and dog ward etc.
Our independent client is flexible over hours. Full time is a five day week working 9-6. They are out of the door shortly after 6pm every night. Saturdays are only 1 in 5 and they are iopen 9.00 - 1.00. They can consider shorter weeks too. Their OOH's is out sourced and they have a policy where any last minute client turning up ad-hoc are sent to the ooh's provider. No unexpected late shifts.
The role in the rapidly growing branch would suit a vet surgically minded as the other vet is a medical, consult only vet. This role would suit a vet comfortable with most, routine, surgeries, most likely a very confident 2 year plus vet.
The role in the hospital could be for a vet requiring a little more support, but as they have a very recent graduate, a minimum of 18 month experience is really required.
Our client are flexible in relation to package dependent on experience and skill level. They offer 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
This is ideal role for an experienced veterinary surgeon who is looking for a role where they have 100& autonomy to set the clinical and service standards in a small practice.
This is a well equipped first opinion practice that is supported by its nearby hospital practice with CT, Laparoscopic kit, specialists across multiple disciplines.
The role is currently sole charge with with student nurses so there is is not a large team with embedded views and work practices to come in and lead. This is a real opportunity to "learn the ropes" of lead vet. As the practice grows, the vet contingent will increase and the lead vet will be involved in that process.
The rota is based around a four day week with 1 in 6 weekends. There are no OOH's.
The salary for this role is around 62k so candidates are expected to have a minimum of 2 years experience and will be very confident with routine surgical procedures and medical work ups.
A passion for clinical care, client experience and team development is essential for a role like this. Our client will provide support in any aspects of this role that will be unfamiliar to.
Additional benefits include: 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, professional fees paid, generous CPD including certificate funding.
