Head RVN for high end First Opinion Practice in North London
Our client in North London, near Watford, are looking for an experienced RVN to join their fantastic team in a Head Nurse capacity.
The head nurse role is to assume a level of responsibility for the efficient running of the nurse team. This will include providing management, performance reviews, training and co-ordination for all relevant personnel. Working enthusiastically with your team will help you maintain a happy, efficient working environment whilst ensuring practice policies and group polices are adhered to at all times whilst providing outstanding patient and client care.
This is a high end first opinion practice which has been established in the local area for over 40 years. They are a busy and thriving practice with a team of 2/3 Vets, 4 Receptionists and 2 Nurses.
The larger team includes over 30 staff which include receptionists, nurses and vets across all four sites in the local area.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working 40 hours a week, Monday–Friday.
On offer is a highly competitive salary with RCVS fees paid for and a CPD allowance and in-house training. Other benefits include 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays and birthday day off, a workplace pension scheme, private medical insurance and access to Employee assistance programme. Night RVN role brand new hospital
My fantastic client in Surrey, have just opened their brand new three floor hospital and are looking for an RVN to support the night team
The rota is for 5 nights on and 5 nights off and would be working on inpatients and emergency cases only, and the hospital benefits from facilities such as CT scanner, Ultrasound, Digital and dental X-Ray, scopes and cautery, as well as 3 large new theatres, one of which is dedicated to orthopedics. They offer Hydrotherapy, Physio, Acupuncture and laser too
The team includes veterinary certificate holders in surgery and imaging and you would be encouraged to develop your nursing skills further, including into ECC certificates if desired.
Shifts run from 7.45pm to 8.15am, salary 30-35k DOE

The team hold a wide variety of individual interests from medicine through to soft issue and orthopaedic surgery and offer a generous CPD allowance meaning you will receive support through tailored new graduate CPD and through to studying at certificate level.
The spacious surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including 2 dedicated operating theatres, ultrasound, in house laboratory and digital radiographs. The practice has a full endoscopy and laparoscopy unit and are continually looking to invest in the best to improve the services that they can offer to their clients.
The practice has a very varied case load of clients so applicants will get a good exposure to a great amount of cases in their first years of practice. You will also have excellent people skills, be flexible in your approach to practice and demonstrate passion for the practice and the team. You will feel comfortable with clients and offer fantastic customer service and dedication.
Full time hours will be split across 4 weekdays with a weekend rota of just 1 in 6 full weekends and 1 in 6 Saturdays only. The partners will also happily consider part time hours.

My clients practice is based in a lovely town in Central Essex and has varied caseload and excellent personal development opportunities.
They have a good set up with equipment such as ultrasound, ECG, endoscopes, arthroscope etc and due to the experience in the vet team they are able to offer orthopedic surgeries including cruciate fracture repair and hip replacements.
They are looking for a vet who is able to cope with the daily routine of general practice and is able to work in sole charge on a weekend shift. and ideally with have a surgical bias. They are willing to pay generously for the right person and can offer many benefits, including support towards certification. The role is full time and has a 1:4 weekend rota with NO OOH's requirement

Our client has a busy small animal surgery in Essex and is seeking an additional enthusiastic graduate Veterinary Surgeon to join their established team of 10 vets, 6 RVNs, 6 Student Nurses and 8 Receptionists. The practice has free on-site parking as well as fantastic transport links into central London in just 25 minutes and out to the Essex countryside within 20 minutes. It is also ideally located for both City & Southend Airport
The team hold a wide variety of individual interests from medicine through to soft issue and orthopaedic surgery and offer a generous CPD allowance meaning you will receive support through tailored new graduate CPD and through to studying at certificate level.
The spacious surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including 2 dedicated operating theatres, ultrasound, in house laboratory and digital radiographs. The practice has a full endoscopy and laparoscopy unit and are continually looking to invest in the best to improve the services that they can offer to their clients.
The practice has a very varied case load of clients so applicants will get a good exposure to a great amount of cases in their first years of practice. You will also have excellent people skills, be flexible in your approach to practice and demonstrate passion for the practice and the team. You will feel comfortable with clients and offer fantastic customer service and dedication.
Full time hours will be split across 4 weekdays with a weekend rota of just 1 in 6 full weekends and 1 in 6 Saturdays only. The partners will also happily consider part time hours.

They pride themselves on having a great relationship with all their clients, they offer 15 minute consults as minimum and are able to build a caseload where customers feel able to ask for them by name.
They can offer flexible working depending on your requirements and are able to offer 40-60k plus benefits. Great CPD and certificate training and can also offer progression to Clinical director if this is something you might desire in the future.
The full time hours would be a 4 day week with some weekends, however this can be flexible
