Our client has state of the art facilities which include CT, Video Endoscopy, Ultrasound and much more. They are now looking for a Full Time Night Vet to join them.
The clinic is located close to Birmingham town centre but only a short drive to the countryside meaning you can have the best of both worlds. The night team consists of 3 vets, 3 nurses and 2 Auxiliaries who work on rotation. Although the successful candidate will be working in sole charge, they do have excellent working relations with other local out of hours services so other vets who are awake are always available for advice if needed. Across the wider team, there are 25 vets which include a diploma holder and multiple certificate holders in a variety of areas. They have a team of 23 nurses as well as Veterinary Auxiliaries, Receptionists and Admin staff. Although they have a large team the staff all work closely together and offer a very supportive and enjoyable environment to work in. The team is dedicated to providing a high level of patient care. They care about the team’s well-being and have changed the rota to allow for a better work/life balance. This has created a night role vacancy in the team, with a shift pattern of 7 nights Monday-Sunday, followed by 14 nights off. There is also the opportunity to pick up some day shifts on your days off if you wish. Salary for this role is up to 60,000 FTE depending on experience.
The successful candidate will work alongside the longstanding team of Registered Veterinary Nurse and a Veterinary Auxiliary, providing out of hours cover for the nearby branches and a small charity.
No previous Night experience required. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated vet who is looking for something new, you will be competent in dealing with ECC cases and put animal care at the heart of everything you do. The client is passionate about developing their staff and are more than happy to provide support and training for someone willing to learn.
