    My fantastic client in Surrey, have just opened their brand new three floor hospital and are looking for an RVN to support the night team

    The rota is for 5 nights on and 5 nights off and would be working on inpatients and emergency cases only, and the hospital benefits from facilities such as CT scanner, Ultrasound, Digital and dental X-Ray, scopes and cautery, as well as 3 large new theatres, one of which is dedicated to orthopedics. They offer Hydrotherapy, Physio, Acupuncture and laser too

    The team includes veterinary certificate holders in surgery and imaging and you would be encouraged to develop your nursing skills further, including into ECC certificates if desired.

    Shifts run from 7.45pm to 8.15am, salary 30-35k DOE

    Have a a vacancy for a confident night vet to join their night team. The successful candidate will work a 7 night on 14 night off rota providing exceptional work life balance. There is an experienced support team every night and as the practice supports a number of local practices, shifts are always busy, with a varied caseload.

    As an RCVS recognized Tier 3 hospital, it is very well equipped meaning vets are able to provide exceptional care.

    As well as a fantastic rota, there is also a very generous package of CPD, RCVS fees paid, BVA fees paid as VDS. There is also an exceptional salary offered for all levels of experience, but of course, for vets with many years experienced and perhaps with, or close to completing certificates, this will be even higher.

    For those wanting to start certificates, this will be actively encouraged.
    Our client would like to add an additional weekend vet to their team. They are happy to consider a range of options;

    Overtime can be offered if required by interested candidates.

    As a busy 24/7 hospital, the caseload is very interesting and varied. The hospital is very well equipped with Laparoscopic equipment, Digital X-Ray, CT machine (soon) allowing exceptional care for both routine and emergency work.

    The successful candidate will work with a team of a 3-4 vets at the weekend so there is plenty of experienced vets to discuss cases with.

    This role would suit candidates looking to "keep their hands in" whilst doing other activities, studies, caring for children, etc etc.


    Our South Yorkshire client require an additional, experienced veterinary surgeon to join their dedicated night service.

    Working 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off, the successful candidate will enjoy fantastic work life balance. This is an established out of hours service so very busy. The role would suit someone who is working towards a CertECC or who would be interested in pursuing one.

    Our client in Somerset is opening a new out of hours service and is looking for a couple of full time night emergency vets. This a is a full time role with shift patterns to be confirmed for the right candidate, but will be a 1 in 3 rota.

    The ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for emergency and OOH work, strong clinical skills, an ECC qualification, strong organisation and planning skills/experience and excellent communications skills.

    The team are happy to work with all successful candidates to create a mutually acceptable rota. The roles are advertised as full time, however, they can also consider multiple part time vets.

    Our client in Oxfordshire have a vacancy for a night vet to join their team on a 7 on 21 off basis, giving maximum flexibility for candidates to pursue leisure interests, travel, or even locum work.

    The role involves care of the host practice inpatients as well as emergency work for a number of local practices. Shifts are Monday 7pm - 9amto allow for full handover. The night vet will be the only vet working and will have the support of an RVN plus an ANA.

    Candidates studying towards certificates will be welcomed and our client is happy to fund the rest of candidates courses. Equally, candidates who have not started a certificate are welcome to apply and start a certificate if they wish.

    Our client is an RCVS Tier 3 Hospital in Gateshead the ECC team support the busy hospital, 3 branch surgeries and an additional 3 partner practices.

    The hospital is very well equipped, with dedicated and advanced surgical and medical facilities and equipment. They have a wealth of ECC essentials, including comprehensively equipped laboratory, on site and a very good working relationship with other local OOH providers, the Pet Blood Bank and work with several local charities. The location is ideal for access to the coast and countryside of the North East, in addition to all the culture and amenities of Newcastle and Gateshead.

    The clinic has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon to join them as the Night ECC Vet, working alongside the dedicated on-site ECC nurses and nursing assistants. The 24-hour service and 'one team' ethos provides for exceptional continuity of care, with case handovers at the beginning and end of every day allowing plenty of time for clinical discussion.

    A night shift begins with a handover from the daytime hospital vet at 6pm and ends with a handover the following day at 6.45am. While the caseload is variable, a private bedroom and bathroom is provided for the ECC vet and this is very much a sleeping shift. The RVNs handle client calls, triage and the majority of patient care through the night.

    The clinical team is led by Advanced Practitioners and Certificate holders in surgery and medicine. Several of the vets are working towards Certificates/AP status, with one of the night vets working towards an ECC certificate. They are a team of 12 daytime Vets, 2 night-time Vets, 16 VN's and 6 Nursing Assistants. They have an Advanced Practitioner in surgery and a medicine certificate-holder, with several vets also working towards advanced qualifications (including one night vet in the final year of the BSAVA ECC Certificate). The integration of the daytime and night-time teams ensures optimal patient care and a fantastic teamwork. This ethos is important to them, with frequent socials and pizza fuelled in-house CPD (both lunchtime and evening).

    The ideal candidate will be a RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least 3 years' experience in small animal clinical work and be confident in dealing with emergency medical and surgical cases. Experience in sole-charge ECC work would be an asset. The practice would also welcome applications from existing certificate-holders or those working towards an advanced qualification. The clinic will support your interests through generous CPD allowance and vet surgeon development programme, ensure you are refreshed with ample holidays.

    Our client in North London has a vacancy for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join their existing night team. The successful candidate will always work with an RVN and experience ANA. The hospital is very well equipped with both equipment and daytime specialists. The practice covers the OOH's for a large number of practices so this is a very busy service. The role would ideally suit someone looking to start a certificate as our client will fund this.

    Our Shropshire based hospital have a vacancy for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join their dedicated night team.

    Working a 7 on 21 off rota the successful candidate will enjoy a great work life balance as well as a really varied caseload as the service covers the on call for a number of local practices. The vet will work sole charge with the on call nurse. Working sole charge vets must be experienced in an ECC environment or be confident with emergency, unplanned cases.

    The practice is well equipped with CT scanner, Ultrasound, Digital X-Ray, full lab, orthopaedic kit.

    Mentorship and support will be offered if candidates are looking to pursue a certificate in ECC and will be actively funded by our client.



    Our client in North Lincolnshire are looking to hire an experienced ECC vet to join their team. Vets work 7 days then have 21
    days off so they offer exceptional work life balance. Vets always have an experienced RVN working with them. The hospital is very well equipped and they see a wide range of cases. They provide their services to other practices so there are rarely times when vets are not occupied.

    Our client would be very happy to support candidates through a certificate in emergency and critical care.

    This role would ideally suit a candidate with ECC experience or those vets who are confident to deal with emergency surgical and medical cases in a random work pattern.

    Our client has a well-respected dual site who is looking for an additional small animal vet to join their out of hours team.

    Working on a full-time basis you will be working Monday – Sunday 7.30pm – 8.30am providing a fully comprehensive service to the practice’s clients and their animals. You will be based at the main hospital working within the experienced team. You will be working with a qualified RVN providing immediate treatment for emergencies, constant care, companionship for pets and a personal service for any enquiries throughout the night. The practice are leaders in the field and are only veterinary practice in the are to offer such a service.

    The role will be based on a 7 day on and 14 day off rota. You must have excellent communications skills, work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional approach at all times.
