You must be passionate about customer and pet care as you will be joining a team who see a high medical and surgical caseload, and some challenging trauma cases. You must be confident and competent in your abilities and be happy to work as part of a team.
The Large Animal role will include a flexible mix of clinical work with dairy, beef, and sheep herds covering all Veterinary requirements for beef and dairy herds, and sheep flocks, including Reproduction – Fertility, and Scanning, Health Plans, Disease Investigation, and many more opportunities to develop your own client base.
The ideal candidate, for either team, will have two years plus experience and be looking towards a certificate, however consideration will also be given to those candidates who have recently graduated and have some good solid understanding.
The team have an equally shared OOH rota – currently 1 in 6 or less nights on call, this can be negotiable for the right reasons.

Our client in Northern Ireland, close to the City of Newry, are looking to grow their team with both a Large and Small Animal Vets and add to their current team of 3 Small Animal Vets, 5 Large Animal Vets, and 2 RVNs.
This Mixed Animal site sits in a valley, between the Mourne Mountains, Ring of Gullion and the Cooley mountains all of which are designated areas of outstanding natural beauty. It is also ideally located within an hour’s drive from both Dublin and Belfast.
The Small Animal team are highly equipped with digital x-ray, lab suite, advanced ultrasound etc and able to perform most medical and surgical investigations. The team are looking for someone with a good understanding of all aspects of general practice and who is still looking for the opportunity for career progression.
You must be passionate about customer and pet care as you will be joining a team who see a high medical and surgical caseload, and some challenging trauma cases. You must be confident and competent in your abilities and be happy to work as part of a team.
The Large Animal role will include a flexible mix of clinical work with dairy, beef, and sheep herds covering all Veterinary requirements for beef and dairy herds, and sheep flocks, including Reproduction – Fertility, and Scanning, Health Plans, Disease Investigation, and many more opportunities to develop your own client base.
The ideal candidate, for either team, will have two years plus experience and be looking towards a certificate, however consideration will also be given to those candidates who have recently graduated and have some good solid understanding.
The team have an equally shared OOH rota – currently 1 in 6 or less nights on call, this can be negotiable for the right reasons.
The salary is competitive and rising with experience, you can also enjoy 6.6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays and the opportunity to buy/sell holidays. Plus 5 days paid CPD leave, 1750 CPD allowance per annum, more if a certificate holder, Health Shield - wide ranging contributions for health and wellbeing treatment, including dentistry and optician appointment, RCVS/VDS and BVA Membership paid and learning and leadership course.
